Introduction

Papertrail Technologies LLC built the Papertrail Auto application ("Product") as a Freemium app. This service ("Service") is provided by Papertrail Technologies LLC at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This document is intended to inform users of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for those using our Service. By choosing to use our Service, the User agrees to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The personal information that we collect is used to provide and improve the Service. We will not use or share the User's information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

  • "User" refers to any individual who downloads, installs, or uses the Product.

Information Collection and Use

To enhance the User experience, the Company may require the User to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to the User's name, email address, and mobile phone number. The information requested will be retained and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

The Company may also utilize products provided by UXCam, which is an analytics solution. UXCam may record: Screens visited, Interaction patterns (such as screen actions, gestures: taps, scrolls), and Device details (Type, Version, Model, Operating System). This information collected by UXCam is used exclusively for the improvement of the Product.

UXCam does not collect personally identifiable information and does not track browsing habits across apps.

Log Data

The Company wishes to inform the User that whenever the User uses the Service, in the event of an error in the Product, the Company collects data and information (through third-party products) on the User's device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as the User's device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the Product when utilizing our Service, the time and date of the User's use of the Service, and other relevant statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to the User's browser from the websites that the User visits and are stored on the User's device's internal memory.

This Service does not explicitly use these "cookies". However, the Product may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. The User has the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and to know when a cookie is being sent to the User's device. The User's information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of the User's state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of the User's jurisdiction. The User's consent to this Privacy Policy followed by the submission of such information represents the User's agreement to that transfer.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If the User clicks on a third-party link, the User will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by Papertrail Technologies LLC. Therefore, the Company strongly advises the User to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. The Company has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. The User acknowledges and agrees that the Company shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. The Company does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the event the Company discovers that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, the Company will immediately delete such information from its servers and terminate the associated account. If the User is a parent or guardian and becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, they must contact the Company so that the necessary actions may be executed promptly.

Compliance with Laws

The Company will disclose the User's Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if the Company believes that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

The Company may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. The User is advised to review this page periodically for any changes. The Company will notify the User of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately upon posting.
